Emerald Coast Utilities Authority member Dale Perkins announced this morning that he is endorsing Doug Underhill in the Republican primary for Escambia County Commission, District 2.
“We have many challenges facing Escambia County and we need a commissioner that will work with all stakeholders to get things done for our citizens,†Perkins stated in press release issued by the Underhill campaign. “Doug Underhill is that man.â€
Escambia County Sheriff David Morgan and State Representative Mike Hill have already endorsed Underhill.
The campaign finance reports show that Underhill’s opponent, two-term incumbent Gene Valentino, has a clear lead in funds raised, $43,190-$23,515. However Underhill only began accepting checks on May 30.
