Escambia County Commission chairman Gene Valentino will call in today from London — He is there for the Farnborough International Air with U.S. Sen. Richard Shelby and a delegation from Mobile, Ala. I will also check in with author W. Hodding Carter to see how his attempt to qualify for the U.S. Olypmpic swim team went.
