The Pensacola Beach Chamber, organizers of Taste of the Beach, needs volunteers to assist with the festival slated for September 20 and 21. Volunteers can greet guests, sell drinks and work in a variety of service areas. Mostly, volunteers get to enjoy the fun and a great view of events slated over the two-day period. Each volunteer is presented with a Taste of the Beach t-shirt and the choice of times and days worked.

Saturday, Carla Hall, Taste of the Beach celebrity guest chef and co-host of ABC Daytime’s lifestyle series, “The Chew,” will take center stage with a cooking demonstration at 1p. Otherwise, top local island chefs will cook and compete alongside a panoply of family activities including; Coolinary kids – a cooking class for kids, surf lessons, crab races, bands and more. A full schedule of activities can be found at http://www.tasteofpensacolabeach.com.

Pensacola Beach Chamber, president Nicole Stacey says, “Volunteering at Taste of the Beach is a fun way to spend a couple of hours or the weekend knowing your efforts are benefitting businesses at the beach.” Potential volunteers should go to http://www.tasteofpensacolabeach.com and click on the contact button and link for volunteers. Also, there is an open house to pick up crew t-shirts and swag bag on September 17 from 5:30 p.m. – 7 p.m. at SRIA – volunteers must be signed up in advance of the open house
