Pensacola City Council to hold public workshop to discuss LOST extension

WHAT:
The Pensacola City Council will hold a workshop session to discuss the extension of the Local Option Sales Tax (LOST), which Escambia County has placed on the November 4 ballot.

The one-cent tax was last approved by voters countywide on March 7, 2006. If approved in November, the LOST would be extended by an 11-year term ending December 31, 2028.

Local option sales tax dollars have helped funded critical infrastructure and equipment, including police and fire vehicles, neighborhood resource centers, parks, and other capital needs.
