Press Release: The Pensacola Sports Association (PSA) and Joe Zarzaur of the Zarzaur Law, PA firm are pleased to announce a new partnership which will enhance and encourage participants of the 2014 Pensacola Marathon and 2015 Pensacola Double Bridge Run.

On November 9, 2014, the 10th anniversary of the Pensacola Marathon Presented by Publix will hit the streets of Pensacola. At mile eight of the half marathon and 17 of the full marathon, the runners enjoy the hill of 12th Ave., heading into the community of East Hill. Playing off Zarzaur’s marketing campaign; the hill will be rightfully named the “ihatejoezarzaur.com Hill!” Runners will be prompted to laugh, scream, yell, cry, and cheer as they conquer the decline and incline and ultimately begin their trek downtown to the finish line. Additionally, leading up to the race, Zarzaur will film several help topic videos which will be posted on the event website (www.marathonpensacola.com) and Facebook page (www.facebook.com/pensacolamarathon).

The Pensacola Double Bridge Run Presented by Publix is set for Saturday, February 7, 2015. The “ihatejoezarzaur.com Hill!” will be the steep Bob Sykes Bridge going over the intercostal waterway, arriving runners on Pensacola Beach, just over a mile from the finish line. In addition to the hill, all 15K finishers will receive a custom Headsweats™ visor as they cross the finish line provided by Zarzaur Law, PA. 15K finishers will also receive a finisher’s medal. These visors and medals will not be available for purchase.

“Joe is an active and respected member of the Pensacola running and endurance community and we are excited about having him and his practice involved in the area’s two premium race events,” said PSA Executive Director Ray Palmer. “We look forward to the enhanced value he brings to the Marathon and Double Bridge Run.”

Registration is currently open for both events. With the added value of the Headsweatsâ„¢ finisher visor for the Double Bridge Run, participants are encouraged to register early in anticipation of a third-straight sell out. For more information and to register for the Pensacola Marathon or Double Bridge Run, visit their websites at www.marathonpensacola.com and www.doublebridgerun.com.

“There is no more road race that captures all of Pensacola than the Double Bridge Run. From our historic downtown to everyone’s common playground on Pensacola Beach,” said Joe Zarzaur. “The fact that each year the 3-mile bridge seems like a neighborhood in the Arctic Circle is beside the point. It is, in my opinion, the loveliest race our Gulf Coast has to offer both in charm and challenge.”
