Foo Foo Fest: Budweiser Clydesdales Palafox Procession, Nov. 6

The world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales will march through downtown Pensacola beginning at the intersection of Palafox and Garden Streets and proceeding to the Blue Wahoos stadium. The hitch (the team of eight horses) with Budweiser’s historic beer wagon will be at the Blue Wahoos stadium after the procession for viewing and photos.

WHO: A lucky winner and one guest will be given the special opportunity to ride with the iconic Dalmatian on the red beer wagon with the hitch, courtesy of Anheuser-Busch, The Lewis Bear Company, and Cat Country 98.7. The winner will also receive other prizes from Cat Country and Anheuser-Busch.

5 pm to 6:30 pm

WHERE: Palafox Street, downtown Pensacola
Route: 5 pm start – Intersection of Palafox and Garden Streets
South to Main Street then right to the Blue Wahoos stadium
5:30 – 6:30 Blue Wahoos stadium

The public is invited to watch the Clydesdales as they proceed through downtown, or sit in the Blue Wahoos stadium to see them as they enter the ball park.

BACKGROUND: Anheuser-Busch’s Budweiser Clydesdales make hundreds of appearances each year. The Clydesdales are an American icon and one of the world’s most recognized corporate symbols.

To qualify for a hitch, a Clydesdale must be a gelding at least four years of age, stand 72 inches at the shoulder when fully mature, weigh between 1,800 and 2,300 pounds, have a bay coat, a blaze of white on the face, four white legs, and a black mane and tail.
