Emergency blanket drive

WEAR-TV, Council on Aging, Waterfront Rescue Mission are quickly collecting blankets in advance of the severe cold weather hitting our area tonight. Anchor Sue Straughan posted this on Facebook:

Friends, if you can, would you please help us Blanket the Community with Love and Warmth? We are quickly collecting new or gently used blankets for the elderly and homeless. I’ve had a number of calls from seniors who either don’t have heat or have heat and say they can’t afford to use and they are asking for a blanket.

You can bring donations to WEAR-TV (4990 Mobile Hwy, Pensacola), Waterfront Rescue Mission (348 W. Herman St., Pensacola) or the Council On Aging, (875 Royce St., Pensacola).

Blessings and thank you!
