FactCheck’s Eugene Kiely to Speak at Tiger Bay Club Feb. 20
“Election Outcome and Expectations for 2016”

Eugene Kiely, Director of FactCheck.org, at the Annenberg Public Policy Center, University of Pennsylvania, will speak to club members and guests about previous election outcomes and well as his expectations for the 2016 election. Kiely will share how “non-facts” impacted the outcome of the 2014 mid-term elections, what to look for from politicians in the 2016 election, and how to recognize when the truth is being manipulated to benefit the politician. Kiely has over 20 years of experience covering a myriad of political events.

FactCheck.org is a nonpartisan, nonprofit “consumer advocate” for voters that aims to reduce the level of deception and confusion in U.S. politics. The organization monitors the factual accuracy of what is said by major U.S. political players in the form of TV ads, debates, speeches, interviews and news releases. Their goal is to increase public knowledge and understanding.
