West Florida Hospital named to Top 100 Hospitals list

health
Modern Healthcare released a list of the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals, and West Florida Hospital made that list in the large community hospital section.

The recognition is based on independent and objective research that guides hospital and health system performance. The annual Truven Health 100 Top Hospitals® study uses independent, quantitative research that identifies U.S. hospitals with the best overall performance across multiple organizational metrics.

Only quantifiable public data sources are used for calculating outcome metrics, which ensures inclusion of all hospitals across the country and facilitates consistency of definitions and data.

The hospitals are measured on financial stability, operational efficiency, patient safety, quality inpatient and outpatient care, and customer perception of care.

WFH spokesman Kendrick Doidge said, “This is an honor that has to be earned. Organizations do not apply or pay for this honor, or pay to promote this award.”
