Ford owns PCC

Rev. Timothy May, brother of House Dist. 3 candidate Lumon May, reports things got off to a rocky start at the Pensacola Christian College precinct. Campaigners are required to stand 100 feet away from the polling place. Initially May had trouble getting on the campus.

Later Ray Walker, the incumbent Clay Ford’s top aide, came up to May and told him that Ford owns this campus. “Don’t you know I went to school here. I worked here.” Then Walker preceded to walk past the barrier and talk to the 200 or so PCC students in line.

In 2006, Pensacola Christian endorsed Tom Banjanin and watched Grover Robinson, IV win the county commission seat.
