Will Newpoint pay its teachers?

Big-Check
Tonight the Escambia County School Board will vote on whether the district should send 90-day termination notices to the three charter schools run by Newpoint Education Partners (NEP). The schools will have the right to appeal the decision.

NEP will continue to receive funds from the district until the 90 days are up, but will the teacher continue to receive their paychecks?

The Newpoint teachers are paid on a 12-month schedule. They have repeatedly tried to get assures from NEP that they will be paid the two remaining months of their salaries once school is out. Instead, management has dodged the question, giving vague answers.

This could be a hot topic tonight.
