Newpoint fires teachers

Newpoint Education Partners today fired its teachers at its three charter schools in Escambia County, including Five Flags Academy-the only school that still had a charter agreement. The teachers will be paid two days and were told to immediately apply for unemployment. In the message read to the faculty, Newpoint said that it would no longer work with the Escambia County School District.
