Newpoint used Bay County funds for Pensacola schools

The Panama City News Herald reports that Newpoint Education Partners violated Florida Department of Education rules. The Bay County School District’s staff found that 80 items purchased with charter school program funds were delivered to Newpoint Schools in Escambia County. Sixty-five computers, tables and monitors meant for Newpoint Bay ended up in Escambia.

Bay County Superintendent Bill Husfelt told the newspaper that he will recommend the school board deny an application extension for Newpoint Bay Preparatory Academy.
