Congressman David Jolly (R-Clearwater) is running for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated next year by GOP presidential candidate Marco Rubio. We had him on “Pensacola Speaks” last week.

Jolly has Pensacola roots. His father, Rev. Lawson Jolly, lived in Pensacola from 1991-2008. During that time, David was in college but would return home for summer months. Rev. Lawson was the Director of Missions for the Pensacola Bay Baptist Association from 1991-1999 when he retired. From 1999 to 2008, he served as interim pastor for several Pensacola churches.
