Buzz: Baptist/West Florida deal off

Update: Baptist spokesman says the deal is still on, but is delayed until the bond market recovers.

We are hearing the Baptist Hospital purchase of West Florida Hospital may be off. There is a rumor that there will be a press conference later today to announce it. The Independent News is trying to confirm this — keep an eye on inweekly.net.
