Press release: Health Advisory for Bayou Texar at Bayview Park

Tuesday, December 15, 2015 – 3:30pm
Effective immediately, in response to bacteriological sampling, the Florida Department of Health in Escambia County, or FDOH-Escambia, is issuing a health advisory for the following beach in Escambia County, Florida:

Bayou Texar at Bayview Park
FDOH-Escambia advises against any water-related activities at the above location due to the potential for high bacteria levels. The bacteriological sampling occurred during water quality monitoring activities, and the level of bacteria has exceeded the level established by state guidelines.
