Insurance crisis: Foxes in the henhouse?

thinking In June. Gov. Jeb Bush appointed the Property and Casualty Insurance Reform Committee to find solutions to our insurance premium problems. The St. Petersburg Times questions their objectivity today.

The committee has 15 members – 12 Reps and 3 Dems. The Florida CEO of Wachovia Bank and other bankers, a retired schoolteacher, lawyers, developers, three state legislators and the lieutenant governor.

“At least 10 members have either received campaign contributions from the insurance industry, worked for a business linked to insurance or had some other association with the industry.”
