Lee tops local candidates in May campaign contributions

For the month of May, Buck Lee topped all local candidates in monetary contributions to his campaign for Escambia County tax collector with $$8,630. He is followed by Escambia County sheriff candidate Ron McNesby, who added $8,320, and Sheriff David Morgan with $6,050.

In the contested races, Escambia County Commission District 1 candidate Jesse Casey leads in total monetary contributions with $106,650, followed by Morgan $88,277, McNesby $74,490 and Escambia County Superintendent of Schools Malcolm Thomas $68,695.22.

Escambia County Property Appraiser Chris Jones has raised $75,571.74, but he has no opposition.
