You can be a movie star

Got this email from Carol Kahn Parker:

Seeking extras for THE NEW YEAR, an independent film being shot in the Pensacola! It is a low, low budget film that is considered a “dramedy”. They are looking for extras, so if you want to add something to your résumé, this might be a good thing to get involved in.

STORY LINE: “The New Year” is a “dramedy” written by Brett Haley and his sister-in-law. It is about a young woman, Sunny, who gives up a promising academic career to return home and care for her ailing father. “The movie picks up several years after that, and she’s still here, kind of in a rut,” Haley says. “She’s been working at the local bowling alley for two years just going through the motions in her hometown, which is something she never saw herself doing.”

Haley directs. Actors and filmmakers are coming in from NY for the shoot. Professional actor Trieste Dunn is Sunny. Local actors participating include Marc Petersen, Lance, Lanie, Aleina and Thalo Brannon, Jennifer Godwin, Kevin Wheatley, David McElfresh, Justin McElfresh, Carol Kahn Parker and maybe you!

EXTRAS NEEDED FOR THE FOLLOWING DATES & LOCATIONS:
Thursday, January 15 – 5pm – 11am at Et Cafe 1010 N 12th Ave. Pensacola, FL 32501 – near Ozone and Madison’s. They need a mix of people for a coffee shop/standup comedy act scene.

Saturday, January 17 – 8am – 2pm at the Gulf Breeze Cinema 4 – Need a mix (kids and adults) for a scene in the movie theatre lobby.
