League of Women Voters of the Pensacola Bay Area will host on Nov. 19 a program that will examine the question: Can We Improve Florida Primary Election Turnout?

The meeting will be held at the Tryon Branch Library, 1200 Langley Ave. It’s free and open to the public.

The Florida League of Women Voters is conducting a two-year statewide study of voter turnout and possible replacement of the state’s closed primary. The study includes research, relevant interviews and a survey of millennial voters and non voters. Final report to the Florida State Board of Directors is expected by April 2017.

Meeting presenter will be Ray Hudkins, a member of the State Open Primary Study Committee.
