Need proof that we have a domestic violence problem?

Last week, I reported that Escambia County leads the state in its per capita rate of domestic violence crimes and near the top for forcible sex crimes (rape).

Over the weekend, an Escambia County Sheriff’s deputy shot and killed a man when responded to a domestic violence call in Cantonment. The suspect fled on foot. During the pursuit, he pulled a firearm and shot at deputies, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
