Two big meetings today

This morning at the Extension offices, the Escambia County Board of County Commissioners is meeting to discuss the 2009-10 budget. The BOCC who failed to get Sheriff Ronnie McNesby to make any significant cuts in his budget over the past eight years wants to the new sheriff, David Morgan, make about a 10 percent cut.

Also the CMPA Board meets to approve the master developer agreement with Scott Davidson and the Maritime Park Developers. Mayor Mike Wiggins has already scheduled a April 9 meeting of the city council to vote on the agreement.
