Utility Service Co. built Admiral Mason Park

The Pensacola News Journal yesterday reported on the frustrations of the Utility Service Company in dealing with the City of Pensacola officials regarding the Government Street-Corinne Jones Stormwater Pond. The contractor said it probably won’t do any more projects with the current administration.

Utility Service Company, which is based in Gulf Breeze, built the award-winning Admiral Mason Park. Al Garza, the city’s public works director at time, oversaw the construction of the $1.3-million stormwater pond. Al Coby was the city manager for most of the construction.

The Florida Stormwater Association awarded the Admiral Mason Park a Project Excellence Award in 2012.

Same contractor for both projects but different city officials in charge….
