Has Pensacola airport turned the corner in competition with Okaloosa

In December 2017, the Pensacola International Airport had 12,457 more passengers than it did in December 2016–a 10-percent increase. The Pensacola facility had more than twice the number of new passengers than its counterpart in Okaloosa County, which only had 6,027 more passengers for the same period.

For all of 2017, the Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport had 260,244 more passenger than it did for 2016–a 28-percent jump. The Pensacola airport only had 94,968 more passengers–6 percent.
