College board meets to discuss status of Richburg

The Board of Trustees of Northwest Florida State College meets today to discuss the status of its college president, Bob Richburg. Richburg was recently indicted by a Tallahassee grand jury. He has retired from the college before and was rehired one month later….Yes, he is getting a pension and a salary.

Last week, we asked Board member Sandy Sims what her thoughts were on Richburg:

We, the Board of Trustees, have to begin the recovery and restoration phase of this controversy as quickly as possible. When we meet next week, we have some very difficult questions to deal with including, but not limited to, the leadership of the college, the status of the airport
classroom building, and what all of this means to the future of NWFSC. I struggle with all of these questions, as I know all of the trustees do.
