Port of Pensacola had been in discussions with Incoa since first of the year

On February 5, Port Director Amy Miller gave the Pensacola City Council an update on the Port of Pensacola. Miller listed unders key prospects a “manufacturing/processing with import/export activity.” That was Project Indigo – the Incoa deal that the council last week voted to have Mayor Hayward negotiate.

The City negotiated a broker agreement with NAI Halford to market the Port. Former Council President Maren Deweese reported on her blog that the broker agreement list five leases the city was working on that were excluded from the broker agreement. If NAI Halford helped, the company would be paid a reduced commission.

Why didn’t City Administrator Eric Olson give the Pensacola City Council an accurate timeline on the negotiations?
