Four lawsuits filed against Wild Greg’s Saloon

The Watson Firm has filed four separate lawsuits against Sunshine Investments of Northwest Florida d/b/a/ Wild Greg’s Saloon and two of its employees Kurt Just and Kory Moegenburg, its manager and bouncer, respectively.

The allegations stem from a May 4, 2018, incident where plaintiffs, Christian Walker, Corey Hicks, Brady Pitts, and James Danin sought entry into the Downtown Pensacola’s country-themed nightclub. The Complaint alleges that plaintiffs were denied access into Wild Greg’s Saloon and were met with racial slurs by its staff.

The Complaint further alleges that after plaintiffs attempted to leave the entryway to Wild Greg’s Saloon, when its manager, Just, chased them onto South Palafox Street and began to assault and batter all of the plaintiffs by pepper-spray, while its bouncer, Moegenburg, began to repeatedly kick and hit two of the plaintiffs, Christian Walker and Corey Hicks. Just and Moegenburg were subsequently arrested and charged for their actions.

The complaints seek unspecified damages for assault and battery, negligence, and negligent hiring, training, retention, and supervision against the defendants.
