Elections office closes

The Escambia County Supervisor of Elections Office will close today, Oct. 9, at 3 p.m. and remain closed Wednesday, Oct. 10.

The Election office was originally scheduled to be open until 7 p.m. Tuesday to accommodate the voter registration deadline for the November 6 General Election. Late last evening, the Florida Secretary of the State issued a directive to storm impacted counties allowing for the extension of the voter registration deadline until the day the office reopened to the public following the storm.

The Escambia County Supervisors of Elections Office currently plans to reopen at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 11. For complete voting and registration information, visit EscambiaVotes.com

Election worker classes scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 9, at Myrtle Grove Baptist Church, 5920 Lillian Hwy., Pensacola, will take place as planned.
