According to the PNJ archives: Rep. Mark Foley was in Pensacola to dedicate a new $2300 computer system at the Escambia County Sheriff’s office with fellow Congressman Jeff Miller.
The LOCATER system helps agencies locate missing children more quickly by rapidly transmitting notices and photographs, was given to the Sheriff’s Office by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children through a federal grant.
