Buzz: Rumors flying about County Complex

State Attorney’s office is questioning county employees and others about possible Sunshine Law violations by Commissioner Gene Valentino.

Jane Birdwell is trying to convince people that the Comm. Valentino was the winner of the Tuesday meeting and is trying to drum up support for his plan.

Others are hoping that Valentino will realize that his PEDA concept is getting little traction with the BOCC or the Pensacola City Council and will instead work on taking aspects of his plan to make the Chamber proposal better, especially the funding aspects. If he would do that, Valentino would come off as a statesman.

Not sure, Valentino will do it. Up until now, he and Birdwell have treated this like a Celebrity Death Match, but maybe, just maybe, cooler heads will prevail.
