Town Hall on Hurricane Sally recovery effort

State Rep. Alex Andrade will host a Town Hall Meeting highlighting the Hurricane Sally Recovery effort. The informational meeting and Q & A will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 30, at the Hilton Pensacola Beach.

The event will focus primarily on Pensacola Beach and Gulf Breeze businesses that have been affected by the damage to the Pensacola Bay Bridge. Representative Andrade will discuss businesses resources and provide updates on the status of repairs. The Florida Department of Transportation, Escambia County Commissioner Robert Bender, Gulf Breeze Mayor Cherry Fitch, and other officials will be in attendance.

“It is heartbreaking to see these locally owned businesses, stores, and restaurants kept on life support the last six months due to COVID and now suddenly see another six months of a complete standstill,” said Rep. Andrade after visiting and speaking with local business owners in Gulf Breeze and Pensacola Beach. “There is almost no traffic driving through Gulf Breeze and Pensacola Beach, so if you have the opportunity to visit these communities please do so.”
