The South Florida Sun Senteniel reports the IN’s beloved plastic pink flamingos is officially dead – RIP: Pink Flamingo, 1957-2006

Its manufacturer, Union Products, of Leominster, Mass., is scheduled to close its plant Nov. 1. The Pink Flamingo was our response to the PNJ’s pelican statutes (The Flamingos Have Landed!)
