Use Airbnb to help Ukrainians

People have found a new way to Ukrainian families – booking an Airbnb stay in Kiev, Ukraine — not to visit but as a way to send money to a family in need.

Last week, 61,000 nights were booked at Airbnbs in Kyiv and other cities — 34,000 of them by Americans.

You can do it here.

Mark Taylor texted to warn that those sending funds via Airbnb should avoid tying up rooms in the Ukraine’s western cities:

“Maybe Kiev is ok but no cities in western Ukraine. I’m here and refugees that don’t want to leave their country but want to get further away from the fighting need these Airbnbs.” – Mark Taylor
