Breaking: NAS Pensacola to be honored

There were two takeaways from the AFCEA (The Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association) luncheon at noon today.

Capt. Terrence M. Shashaty, Commanding Officer of NAS Pensacola, said that he received notification that the base will be honored as the Navy’s best large installation. Capt. Shashaty credited his predecessor, Capt. Tim Kinsella, base staff and the community for the award.

Jason Burt, Cybersecurity Advisor Region IV for Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) announced that his agency will be posting advisors at all 50 state capitals to help state and local governments deal with cyber threats, particularly in the area of election security.
