New record set for Pensacola Beach traffic

Commissioner Robert Bender shared the latest traffic numbers for Pensacola Beach – 22,909 cars on Saturday, May 6, a new record that broke the July 1, 2017 record of 22,555.

“I wasn’t expecting that, especially with very little backup most of the day,” said Bender. “2021 had the second and third busiest days with 22,267 and 22,130 to put in perspective how many cars we had out there Saturday.”
