Former Pensacola Mayor Mike Wiggins reviewed on WCOA last week’s Charter Review Commission meeting.
“We are on a pretty tight time schedule. Quite frankly, we are about halfway through the charter with our first run through it, and we’ve only got about four more meetings and we’ve got to about mid to late June to have our report ready for the council,” said Wiggins.
“So we’ve got a lot to do. We’re meeting every other Wednesday. I have a feeling we’re going to have to pick up that pace a little bit, but we’re going through the charter.
“As we have gone through it, we have identified areas where one, we needed more information. We needed some staff input, or we just had more questions. And so we’ve got to go back and address those.”
