Escambia County: Kohler wins D2 race, Bender heads general

Mike Kohler led the three-man field from the first reports and won easily with 47.35% to Kevin Brown’s 29% and Chance Walsh’s 23%. The race drew 9,701 voters – 3,403 more than the Underhill-McMillan race four years ago.

Commissioner Robert Bender had no trouble with Stan “Quick Draw” McDaniels, 7,094-1,929. This race drew 762 few voters than the 2018 primary. Bender faces Democrat Myra Van Hoose in November.
