Breaking: Escambia, Santa Rosa projects get $5.5 million

From State Rep. Alex Andrade: Last week Friday, the Joint Legislative Budget Commission voted to fund the following items for Escambia/Santa Rosa County, totaling $5,500,000 for the two-county area:

District One Medical Examiner’s Office Rapid DNA Technology  $ 500,000
Comprehensive Mobile Safety and Emergency Communications Platform – Santa Rosa $ 640,000
Whiting Aviation Park Taxiway and Apron $ 500,000
Advancing Florida as a National Leader in Cybersecurity Economic and Workforce Development – UWF  $ 250,000
