The Kugelman Family Foundation announces a $50,000 gift to The Clark Family Cultural Center. The Center, owned and operated by Pensacola Little Theatre, is entering a $3M redesign for their historic property located at 400 South Jefferson Street – including an overhaul of the entire first floor common spaces and performances venues, the installation of a fine art gallery, and creating Pensacola’s premier rooftop performance venue with sweeping views of Pensacola Bay and Downtown Pensacola.
Joining the campaign, the Kugelman Family generously donates to rename and renovate the box office, which The Center’s executive director Sid Williams-Heath says will make the ultimate first impression.
“You never get a second chance to make a first impression, and the box office is that first touch point for any patron into The Center,” says Williams-Heath. “Whether attending a theatre production, a performance by the ballet, enjoying improv – our vision is to make the box office a focal point and jewel of the building, just like the Kugelman Family is to our community.”
Jane Kugelman Lauter, president of The Kugelman Family Foundation, says her family is looking forward to seeing some of Pensacola’s talent shine while helping grow the community.
“The foundation is honored to be able to support the diverse work happening at The Clark Family Cultural Center, and supporting this effort continues to propel our community forward and our collective vision to make it better for the next generation,” says Lauter. “And I just love Sid and his husband Nicklaus and the work they do, so it was a no-brainer when Sid came to us with this fantastic project.”
The Kugelman Family Foundation has supported the Pensacola community since the 1980s, and applications are accepted through November 1, 2022. With their gift, The Center has raised $2M of their $3M reimagination goal. For more information on how to support, visit findyourcenterpensacola.com.
