Sheriff focused on finding suspects in Bellview shooting [podcast]

On WCOA this morning, Sheriff Chip Simmons repeated his request for any video taken by fans at the Bellview Park football on Saturday where one man was killed and another injured in a shootout near the football. He said the shooting happened after a disturbance that took place at the park earlier in the day.

“We’ve asked if you have video of the disturbance itself,” said Sheriff Simmons. “You don’t have video of a shooting, but you may have video of someone that’s involved in the disturbance. You may actually have video of an individual that’s dressed the same as the shooter walking by or getting a Coke or something at the concession.”

He continued, “What we’re asking people to do is take a look at the video that you have, and if you have something that you feel like you can help, submit it to us for evaluation.”

People can call the ECSO and ask for an investigator. (850) 436-9630
