Allstate Foundation presents check to BBBS

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida is excited to announce we recently received a $10,000 grant from The Allstate Foundation. For the past three years, The Allstate Foundation has presented BBBSNWFL with a grant through their Helping Hands initiative. The Allstate Foundation supports the causes that Allstate agency owners, financial specialists and employees care about most by providing Helping Hands Grants to nonprofits where they volunteer their time to help communities thrive.

This gift provided backpacks for our Littles from Pensacola to Panama City, to help make sure they were better prepared for the school year and to reach their full potential.

Former Governing Board Chair, Melissa Keener with Keener Jones Allstate, was instrumental in securing this generous gift, which benefitted dozens of children.

“I’m very proud to have been a part of this group effort between myself and my fellow Allstate agents in the Florida panhandle,” said Melissa Keener. “Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida is a very worthy organization. The work they do provides an invaluable connection between a Big and a Little, making a lasting, positive influence in each other’s lives.”

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida is extremely grateful for Melissa Keener’s hard work and dedication and what The Allstate Foundation does each year to support our mission and vision. Thank you to all of those involved in this donation, for defending the potential of children in Northwest Florida and for empowering people and our community.
