Subtropical storm Nicole is expected to track across the northwestern Bahamas on Wednesday and then come ashore on the Florida Peninsula late Wednesday night and Thursday morning between about Fort Lauderdale and Port St. Lucie as a 75 to 85 mph hurricane.
