PHS Tapes – Episode Three: No Budget

The Pensacola Humane Society is in free fall. On Dec. 12, several board members met with staff and volunteers to calm the situation. The board members admitted they don’t have a budget.

A board member said, “We do not, at this moment, have a fixed, approved budget for the fiscal year 2023 (PHS fiscal year began 10/1/22).”

A staff member asked about FY 2022 and was told, “It was approved I believe in February.” That was five months after the fiscal year began.
