The GOP presidential polling continues to be bad for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and very good for Donald Trump.

Quinnipiac: Trump is now at 62% support, 5 points up from August. DeSantis, now at 12% support, is 6 points down,. No other candidate has more than 6%.

Washinton Post/Monmounth: In South Carolina, DeSantis is now in fourth place – Donald Trump (46%), former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley (18%) and U.S. Sen. Tim Scott (10%), DeSantis (9%). No other candidate has more than 5% support.

Papa Gaetz was extremely effective lawmaker when he served from 2006-2016. He found the funding to build the Chappie James bridge to avoid making it a toll bridge. He was the architect of Triumph Gulf Coast.

Baptist Announces Moving Schedule

Baptist Hospital will be moving patients from its E Street location to its new campus at the corner of Brent Lane and I-110 in Pensacola on Saturday, Sept. 23. Both Baptist Hospital campuses at E Street and Brent Lane will be closed to the public.

  • The new Baptist Hospital Emergency Room on Brent Lane will open at 3 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, and the ER on E Street will close simultaneously.
  • On Sunday, Sept. 24, the Brent Lane campus will begin regular hours of operation.
  • The Bear Family Foundation Health Center will open on Tuesday, Sept. 26.
