With a deadline of April 12, 2024, eligible students are encouraged to submit their applications promptly to be considered for this scholarship opportunity.

The John E. Frenkel, Sr. Educational Grant, established to honor the legacy of the late Chairman of the Board of Directors, aims to assist students in pursuing their higher education goals. The grant annually provides 30 deserving students with $1,000 each, totaling $30,000 in support. Since its inception in 1984, over $1.2 million has been awarded to more than 1,300 grant participants, reflecting the Fair’s commitment to educational advancement within the community.

Eligibility for the grant is based on active involvement in the Pensacola Interstate Fair, Inc., through participation in exhibits, projects, displays, or volunteering, as outlined in the Fair Exhibits Premium Catalog.

Applicants must be graduating high school seniors planning to enroll in an accredited college or vocational school for the Fall Term of 2024. The grant is intended to defray the costs of tuition and books at any post-secondary educational or vocational institution of the recipient’s choice.
