Man who set up DeSantis-Trump brunch date in trouble

Former President Trump and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis met Sunday in Miami to patch up their differences.

The Washington Post reported the meeting was set up by a longtime Trump friend and wealthy developer Steve Witoff, who called the former president’s team and asked for him to meet with DeSantis.

Today, The Post reported Miami Grand Prix warned Witoff that he couldn’t use his Paddock Club Rooftop Suite to raise money for a federal election – Trump – at $250K a pop.

The Miami Grand Prix wrote in a letter, “It has come to our attention that you may be using your Paddock Club Rooftop Suite for a political purpose, namely raising money for a federal election at $250,000 per ticket, which clearly violates the Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix suite license agreement.”

Witkoff told the Post that the letter was “something fake, for sure,” but refused to issue any further comment. Read more.
