The Pensacola Civic Band, in partnership with Schmidt’s Music and the City of Pensacola, proudly announces the 9th Annual Pensacola Memorial Day Concert, a stirring tribute to our nation’s service members who gave their lives for our freedoms. This year’s event will take place on Memorial Day, May 27, 2024, at the Hunter Amphitheater, located behind Blue Wahoos Stadium in Pensacola. The concert will begin at 1:00 PM and is open to the public, free of charge.
The Annual Pensacola Memorial Day Concert has become a cherished tradition in the Pensacola community, offering an opportunity to come together and pay homage to the brave individuals who have served and sacrificed for our country. With poignant musical performances and heartfelt tributes, the event serves as a reminder of the true meaning of Memorial Day.
Special guests at this year’s concert include the esteemed 151st Army Band, Alabama National Guard, joining forces with the Pensacola Civic Band for an unforgettable musical collaboration. Together, these talented musicians will deliver a moving program of patriotic melodies and stirring anthems, honoring the legacy of our nation’s heroes.
“We are honored to once again host the Pensacola Memorial Day Concert and pay tribute to the courageous men and women who have served our country,” said Doug Holsworth, Director of the Pensacola Civic Band. “This event holds special significance for our community, as we come together to remember and honor the sacrifices of our service members.”
In addition to the musical performances, several food truck vendors will be onsite with food and beverages available for purchase beginning at 12:00 p.m., adding to the atmosphere of the event. The Pensacola Memorial Day Concert will begin at 1:00 PM on Memorial Day, May 27, 2024, at the Hunter Amphitheater behind Blue Wahoos Stadium in Pensacola. Admission is free, and all members of the public are invited to attend. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating.
