Spoke with Supervisor of Elections David Stafford. He has decided not to run for Pensacola mayor. “My wife and I had time to really talk it about this weekend and we decided that I should pass.” Stafford’s term for SOE doesn’t expire until 2012.
Other names still being batted around for mayor are Mike Wiggins, Ashton Hayward and Hugh King. DeeDee Ritchie’s name also surfaced this weekend as another viable candidate. Also Lumon May is being asked to run for the at-large seat being vacated by Diane Mack.
