I just want to make it clear for the people of Escambia County and especially District 3, I urge a Yes vote on the Right to Hunt and Fish Amendment, understand on my high school ring (long lost) I had hunting and fishing on it on the side, had a beautiful green stone for my birth month of May, I do believe Jostens can replace them, they keep a design on file, I got the sort of platinum look as I recall, we had a ring ceremony towards the end of the year.
We also had at the end of the year, a rather wonderful party on Highway 225, at a house where they had Jack Daniels gummies inside, we had some kegs, I remember I was up with all the parent chaperones at sunrise, smoking cigars, I remember when I got to Spring Hill, one of our first nights, was a house party, I as a freshman came to the kegger, the Chicago kids called my cigar a “stogie.”
I suffered a lot of media blackout in the 2022 campaign when I was ready to stand on who I am and my platform, but to be clear I am voting Yes on Amendment 2, the right to hunt and fish in Florida, guaranteed in our constitution, and I urge all in our area to vote Yes, remember, give a man a fish you feed him for a day, teach him to fish, you feed him for a life time, and where venison is very healthy meat, and when you know how to prepare it, it’s good eatin’.
But I urge everyone vote Yes on putting the right to hunt and fish in the Florida Constitution.
And remember, this is not a man or a woman thing, girls hunt too, and I urge women sportsmen to take pride, as hunting is part of gender equality, far as I’m concerned, for women.
