Note: The Escambia County Supervisor of Elections reports that voting has doubled since 11 a.m. As of 2:40 p.m., 10,271 have cast votes.
Democrat candidate Debbie Mucarsel-Powell called “Real News with Rick Outzen” this morning to urge Escambia voters to go the polls. She wants to the party’s nominee to face U.S. Senator Rick Scott this November.
“I’m back in Miami, and there’s so much excitement on the ground,” she said. “People are just ready for change, ready to elect the right leaders that are going to put them first and work for them. But it doesn’t mean anything if you’re energized and excited, but you don’t vote. If you’re listening, make sure they vote. Don’t stay at home.”
